15-Day Hiking Summit and Traverse of The Central Atlas

Overview

By following the paths frequented each season by nomads and their herds, you will be “dazzled” by the wild landscapes of the High Atlas: wide, magnificent, and austere plateaus cut by wadis, steep cliffs at the foot of which people apply their irrigation knowledge to nourish tiny terraced gardens. Connecting Zaouiat Ahençal in the north to the Dades Valley in the south, passing through the summit of M’Goun (4068m), this itinerary showcases the evolution of landscapes and architecture between the High Atlas and the southern Piedmont. The wonder of high-altitude trails and a unique atmosphere during this superb off-the-beaten-path hike.
