organizes tour from Marrakech to fes with experienced drivers and guides to explore Sahara desert. We will depart after breakfast at 8:00 am from your hotel towards Ouarzazate, passing Tizi-n-Tichka, 2260 metres high. We will visitTelouat Kasbah, which was built by the Pacha Glaoui in the period of French colonisation. you will visit one of the UNESCO world heritage sites named Ait Benhaddou. It’s classified since 1987. This fortified Kasbah is an attractive site for private tours and excursions departing from Marrakech. Because of it’s beautiful architucture and natural decoration Ait Benhaddou Kasbah it becomes one of the famous locations that is used for movies shooting. such as “Gladiator”, “Lawrence of Arabia”,
“Alexander”, “Kingdom of heaven”,”Babel” & “Prince of Percia”… Then continue on to Ouarzazate where we will stop to take photographs, see the Hollywood of Africa cinema studios and Taourirt Kasbah. We will spend the overnight in Ouarzazate.
After breakfast we will depart Ouarzazate and head towards Skoura, known for its palm trees and authentic berber Kasbahs at Amredil and Ben Moro. We will continue our journey to the spectacular Rose Valley where we will see figs, almond and walnut trees. Passing through the valley of 1000 Kasbahs we will see many Berber villages and Kasbahs, after that we will head to Dades Gorges with its diffrent colours, you will also discover the “Monkeys Feet Prints” before arriving at Todra Gorge where we will spend the night in a hotel.
From Todra Gorge we will drive toward sahara desert Erg Echabbi (Merzouga), passing by spectacular landscapes and the volcanic Atlas Mountains of Saghrou in the Anti Atlas. We will pass through the village of Tinejdad before stopping for lunch in Touroug. After lunch we will continue to Erfoud, famous for its ‘fossil’ factories, before seeing the beautiful sand dunes appearing as we pass by Erissani. On arriving at Erg Echabbi we will take the camels to the middle of the Sahara Desert where we will spend the night under the stars in Berber tents.
After breakfast at the hotel, many options are available for you: You may go to explore the neighboring villages of Merzouga such as Hassi Labied, Khamlia where the black musicians dance and sing. You may also enjoy an offroad drive around the dunes of Erg Chebbi and see the nomads living in tents in the desert. Enjoy the swimming pool in the summer months, or climb dunes in front of your hotel at Erg Chebbi dune line.
After having breakfast, the camel trek back to the hotel at the dune line for a quick shower. We drive towards Fes, we stop on the road to enjoy the panoramic views over the Ziz valley before we cross the High Atlas mountains again. We stop by a town called Midelt where we’ll have lunch. We pass Azrou then Ifrane and its huge cedar wood forest to see the monkeys. We continue to the legendary city of Fes.
