Tour Plan
On the first day of your trip, you will arrive at Marrakech airport and be greeted by your driver who will transport you to your hotel or riad in Marrakech.
We will have breakfast in Tamalakout and start our trek towards the Tizi n'Tagharat pass (1850 m ASL). From there, we will have a panoramic view of the Siroua massif and the Anti-Atlas Mountains. We will continue our hike towards the Tizi n'Ougan pass (2100 m ASL), where we will have lunch while enjoying the stunning views of the surrounding landscapes. After lunch, we will continue to the Assaka plateau, where we will set up our camp for the night.
We will start our day early with breakfast and pack up our camp. Today, we will trek for approximately 6 hours, following the river from Tanzaline to Assaka, which sits at an altitude of 2000 meters above sea level. Along the way, we will pass through beautiful landscapes, including terraced fields and traditional Berber villages. We will stop for lunch along the way and have plenty of time to rest and take in the scenery. When we reach Assaka, we will set up our camp for the night and enjoy a warm meal.
On day 4, we will trek for approximately 7 hours, ascending from the desert plateau towards the volcanic peak of Jebel Sirwa (3305 m ASL). We will follow a scenic trail that offers stunning views of the surrounding landscapes. Once we reach the summit, we will have ample time to rest, take pictures and enjoy the panoramic views. We will then descend towards our campsite in the Safran Valley, where we will spend the night.
On day 5, we'll ascend Mount Sirwa to an elevation of 3305 meters above sea level. After reaching the summit and enjoying the breathtaking views, we'll descend to Iriri Azib (2300 m ASL) for the night's camping. Our trek with the Berber muleteers and mules will last about 7 hours.
On this section of the trek, we'll pass by the Amzdour Tower, with its beautiful meadows and flocks of Berber sheep. We'll continue on to Azib Azazougzan, where we can admire the breathtaking views of the surrounding volcanic rock formations from the highlands. After approximately 5 hours of trekking, we'll reach Azib Aziwan, where we'll set up camp for the night.
On this day, we will hike down to the Amassin Groves and explore the Old Town of Amassin. Later, we will prepare to depart for Marrakech, taking some time to visit the bustling central square of Djema el-Fna. Once we arrive in Marrakech, we will return to our hotels or riad.
On the final day of our trekking tour, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flights. After an unforgettable journey through the beautiful and diverse landscapes of Morocco, we will say goodbye to our guides and fellow trekkers and take with us memories that will last a lifetime.
