8-Day Fitness Trek Along the Atlantic Coast of Essaouira
Overview
The Atlantic coast, bordering the foothills of the Western Atlas Mountains, is unlike any other region in the Kingdom of Morocco. Bathed in trade winds, the mild climate allows for exploration during the summer of this region, which is characterized by the convergence of ocean and mountains. Guided by the wind, our invigorating camel trekking adventure will take you from the south of Essaouira to discover stunning, inaccessible coastlines, sandy coves reserved for goat herds, and dazzling white marabouts.

Tour Plan
Arrival in Marrakech. Overnight at the hotel.
Transfer by minibus to the south of Essaouira. After visiting Sidi Kaouki, we embark on our first bivouac in the dunes. 2 hours of walking.
A few kilometers of beach before reaching the mouth of Oued Arhbalou. Evening accommodation is provided in small rock shelters transformed into cozy cabins by local fishermen. Bivouac facing the ocean. 3 hours of walking.
In Iftane, fishermen prepare their boats for the next outing. Depending on the tide, we round the Lamarka point before descending a sandy stretch until reaching the ocean. Bivouac. 3 hours of walking.
Solitary beaches lead us to the plateau of Iskoua, then Tafedna with its long beach. Minibus or taxi transfer to Essaouira. Check-in at a riad for dinner and overnight stay. Free time to explore the charming medina. 5 hours of walking.
Morning stroll followed by a hearty breakfast. Free day in Essaouira.
Morning departure by minibus to Marrakech. Arrival at the hotel with free time in the afternoon. Overnight at the hotel.
Transfer to the airport.
